Spoiler warning: It’s assumed that you reached this article because you know that you need to delete Monika and are wondering how to do it. In particular, if you’re here, you almost certainly are wondering how to delete Monika’s character file in DDLC Plus on consoles, the Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.
You might be wondering, why is that such a big deal? Isn’t it just a port, then? You’d be right until you remember that accessing your PC’s files is an important part of the DDLC experience. I like what you did here, but I still feel that you have some room for improvement.Doki Doki Literature Club Plus offers up a few changes to what players may have been used to in the original DDLC game. Also, while I understand that you drew the dialog box and wrote in it by hand, I feel like you could possibly have used a straightedge for the rectangles and a way of writing with a more computer-like font. They still look awesome though, as does this entire piece. Also, while I love the facial expression, the eyes look a bit awkward with those tiny irises and cascades of tears. I also love how closely this resembles Monika, but some of the proportions and lines could use a bit of improvement. With that, I feel like you hit the most important nails on the head.
I also like the general pose and expression.
I feel like the shading at the palm is a bit odd on the left hand, and the left fingers are a bit too far apart or thin, but they still look great! I also feel like the arms could have been done a bit better but they still work. I like how the hands are drawn with a thicker line width to indicate that they are closer to us, the viewers on the other side, and even leaving their window. While this piece is not quite perfect, it hits the right nails on the head as I see it. This is a really neat idea, and I love how you decided to execute it.
